While we agree with the sentiment, we don't need to stoop to the level of the Mexicans. Oh wait, we didn't throw urine bombs on the pitch.
By the way, not sure if anybody remembers this, but after the US v. Mexico World Cup match in 2002, the ABC cameras caught this great shot of a fat and unhappy Mexican in his El Tri kit and oversized sombrero. It was maybe the funniest thing I've ever seen on TV after this and the Christopher Guest / Martin Short Men's Synchronized Swimming short, which apparently the YouTubes doesn't allow. Anyway, if anyone can turn up a a pic of that Mexico fan I'd be indebted to you forever.

On a thread related note, I saw a shot of the game where a chick was holding a scarf which said 'US NATIONAL TEAM', and I just thought that was the most whitebread soccer fandom possible.
Notice there are far fewer contributors over at DS now.

Just thought the pic was worth having as I totally noticed that guy after the game as well. Plus it gave me an excuse to link to the Mr. Show Jeepers Creepers sketch. That said, I think DS was better before it was all Erin Andrews all the time. So an above average looking girl is a sideline reporter. Big fucking deal.

PR you getting the sack was total bullshit. kogod has even toned his football coveragre down on weekends. DS used to be a dope place but i feel in the last 7 mo's the mouthbreathers have taken over. you're columns were quite good even if arsenal biased (like i care i'm a gooner myself) but that site has truly devolved from the high quality it used to be
