Tuesday Backpasses: All of his pics have been pulled down

What to think about when not pondering why MLS decided to start up on the first day of the NCAA tourney.

Cristiano Ronaldo does not appreciate Scouse taunts [Dirty Tackle]
Soccernet table FAIL [The Offside]
Who doesn't love a good banana kick? [Daily Mail]

Below the fold sad update: Iraqi killed by bullet did not happen during game, was not bearing down on goal [NYT Goal]
Lucas wants more playing time or he's gone. Pool fans sigh, say go ahead [The Sun]
Pavs sent down to reserves, still does not score [Daily Mail]
There's a "new Fabregas". Guess, just guess, which EPL club he is linked to [Mirror]

Finally:
I actually saw Eric Wynalda in playing for SDSU as a freshman with this haircut. Plus, (a rather embarrassing) Deuce video [The Best Eleven]
My search for a Dempsey college pic may also have been fruitless, but I did get this.

United may be winning the title, but dammit if Liverpool supporters aren't 2-0 as far as taking down United players and fans goes.

Also, Lucas addressed that article today and said it was way off the mark. Far be it for the Sun to print real quotes or take them out of context. But he said today "I've got three more years to go on my contract and I'm really happy here. My girlfriend is happy in Liverpool and everybody at the club is supporting me. I have never thought about leaving."

Frankly I don't want to see him leave quite yet, there is still cover needed for central midfield. If Plessis or Spearing can make the breakthrough he may be shit out of luck though. I think his game may be suited better for the prodding pace of Italy, but he is still only 22 and he does have talent.

Pavs shanked a PK in that match, too. If he doesn't improve his workrate and focus, he can forget about his ManUre dream. Bent is the obvious man out fo us, or was, but if Pvas doesn't step up to the challenge, he's going to find himself sold.

Also, I think we'll sell of Bentley, too, either to Inter or Villa. At prob half the fee we paid. Gah.

Who are you, Liverpool?

No, we are Tottenham, Super Tottenham, Super Tottenham from The Lane...which means we shell out 15 mil for a fellow, no matter who he is or what he's done. Keane and Berbs are the first ones we turned a profit on, but it seems with Bentley we'll get back to old ways. Tradition.
