Is Rivers Cuomo Predicting An Upset?

Weezer front man Rivers Cuomo is a soccer fan and an extremely talented musician. Naturally, he has penned a song for the USMNT and posted in on Youtube.

Is that an upset I hear?

Big hattip to The Offside Rules for finding this.

I'm sorry, but that is f#cking terrible. Awful. Bad karma is coming if that reaches a mass audience.

That song belongs in a musical about a high school track team made up of disabled kids.

"Extremely talented musician"? Really? Rivers Cuomo?

Shockingly bad. Couldn't even finish it.

well, he has more talent than me and has put out some pretty good albums with his band. so, yeah, i'd call him extremely talented.

I'm not saying that this is his best work by any means. Rather, I just find it humorous.

You also MUST see the photos and video at uber blog Unprofessional Foul. Also saw great stuff at This Is American Soccer and BigLeagueScrew

The song is actually pretty old (hence the mentions of Pat Noonan and Bobby Convey), so I don't think he is predicting an upset for this specific match...but credit for seeing a day like this coming while the likes of Eddie Johnson were still on the team? That took some degree of balls.

Thanks, Dark Klute. I was a bit taken aback by it myself. He's been rather kind to us over the past year.
