Quick Throw: Jose looks for a way out

From the Sun (now 100% hyperbole!), we learn that the pressure on Mourinho is now so great, especially since they lost to United on Wednesday, that he's on the verge of quitting. He might well end up back in the EPL.

On a scale of 1-10, how awesome would that be?

So shall it be written, so shall it be done.

it would be fantastic to have the Special One back! everybody loves a narccisist! I don't think he'll go to City though. I heard rumor of Real Madrid until Fergie retires.

What about Rafa to Madrid and Jose to Liverpool. I think just about every Liverpool fan would make that swap.

@Kopper: I'm convinced that's the most likely scenario! It's all down to whether Rafa decides to re-sign with Liverpool.

"it goes to 'leven"

Personally, I couldn't think of any more entertaining scenario than Jose back in the EPL. I could see Citeh making an effort to sign him, and I could also see the Liverpool-Real shuffle happening. I'm not sure I care which way it happens, though as a Big-4 neutral, I like the idea of him still having Rafa to toy with as well...

I don't buy the Jose to United stuff. I don't see them going foreign, I think it's either Moyes or Hughes and nobody else.

@Georger: Totally agree. I think it'll be Moyes... SAF will announce he's going to retire and they'll bring Moyes in for a season to be an assistant and learn things the "Man U way." God I hate that team.

Yeah I agree that's how it will go down, he'll be picking the replacement and I can't see him picking Jose.

On the plus side, if it's Moyes, Everton are fucked big time.

I think MON has a chance, solely because of his time with Celtic (a club "bigger" than it realistically is, much like ManU has become), but Moyes is a truly frightening thought. He'll need some time to adjust (like SAF, presuming they'd allow it), but once he does, they'd be a scary monopoly...

I think Hughes "intentionally" sabotaged his chances at ManU (not consciously, but sub-consciously) by taking on the stupid Man Citeh job. He's a very good manager, but he can't live in an environment like ManU offers...(it's just not who he is...)

But yes, Everton is fucked in so many ways if Moyes leaves...which manager can take that team and regularly finish top-10, other than Moyes? Seriously?

Mourinho at Citeh would be so comical, so unabashedly gauche, VH1 would ask for rights to a reality show.

Pleasepleaseplease let this happen.
