Gambia has excellent oil pipelines from what I read. As for the football...

17 million plus steve finnan? i hope rafa doesnt do that. thats just fucking awful. in no world is barry worth 20 million. better off sticking villa with his wages.

Yeah, it's rather ridiculous at this point. Villa rate Finnan at only 1m due to only having one year left on his contract, and that's just not fair.

Martin O'Neill is a massive douche

If MLS is like Arsene Wenger then West Africa is like young French boys.

So Barry out, and essentially Sidwell, Finnan and 12 million in, with which to purchase Miguel from Valencia?

Martin O'Neill is a huge genius. And Liverpool will still go trophyless. The bet holds.

Keith:

two right-backs and a ginger castaway?

Hardly the stuff of legend.

Well, when we already have the Danish Dynamo and England's future Captain in central defense, and Carew, Young and GabAg leading the charge up front, all we really need is a) depth and b) a right-sided winger - oh wait: David Bentham is on the way!

BTW, that "Ginger Castaway" is close to the level of player that our 20 million pound former skipper was when O'Neill first signed up.

So in two years, we can look forward to selling HIM for 30 mill

LB--I prefer Mary Anne.

when young is playing for united in two years we are all going to look back and cry

Sidwell's legs are rotten from years of atrophy in the CFC reserves. As for the others, you'll sell them all in due course. That's what Aston Villa does. It's quite simple, really.

Goat: yeah, she was a much better pick

Georger: you're so fucking right

Sidwell was only with Chelski for a year, in which he delivered the most talked-about tackle that broke no one's leg; before that, he was the midfield engine for Reading (yeah, I know, that qualifies him for nothing, but he was a big part of their earning promotion and surviving for a second season in the Prem). On the selling thing, things are different now. Lerner's actually looking like he wants to make Villa a top 6/4 fixture, unlike Deadly Doug.

And dammit, Georger, that's never happening! NEVER!

Goat- doesn't everyone?

Keith--I think her recent bust for possession of weed settled the debate once and for all.

i liked sidwell with reading but lost a lot of respect for him when he moved to chelsea, there was never any way he would play there. but hey chelsea made a cool five million off the deal in the long run.
he looks like a less athletic, less soul having version of skrtel

Georger is on dis ting!

I actually thought that was going to be a picture of Sidwell in a white kit (then I realized Chelski's change kits were atomic yellow last year).
