UF Quick Throw: Michael Owen to take his non-scoring elsewhere

All the reasons for the constant contract talks being delayed are now made clear, as Owen won't be at SJP much longer according to the boss. The only question is: how soon will he limp off? Who would want him? How much would you pay for a man hobbled by various injuries who scores every 3 weeks?

You should ask my wife.

I just rang... she said she'd pay about as much as Sunderland paid for El-Hadji Diouf.

He could dominate the MLS at 50% capacity, make the move this summer. That being said, I hope he gets Gonorrhea and burns in hell.

I have a feeling he may end up at Trinity Road and Witton Lane in January. If Emule doesn't, that is.

Georger: while it's been a long time since I liked Owen (coincidentally, around the time he stabbed us in the heart and golden boy'd his way off to Spain), doesn't it strike you as horribly tragic that for his age and previous accomplishments, he'd be a good fit in MLS right away? I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

Keith: yeah, his next move will be downward. I think he'd be lucky to get a lateral or upward transfer.

Yeah it's a shame that's for sure. I'll never forget when I found out. I was in Upstate New York for a week and was so far out in the boondocks I couldn't get internet or cell service. End of the week I go into Rochester to visit family and my phone blows up with a several day old text from an Arsenal fan which just says 'Owen to Madrid.' I didn't believe him, but after I found out that trip was ruined. The subsequent fourteen hour drive back to Charlotte was just fucking awesome.

Worked out in the long run for us though I suppose.
