Ahh, Saturday is here again, and the appetizer to the pan-seared delight that is Barca v. Real Madrid will be an almost-full slate of EPL action. 3 of the Big 4 are doing the business today, which surely means they'll all drop points. 'Boro, Hull and Spurs are not teams to be taken lightly (as the first 80 minutes of the Arsenal game have proven... Aladiere's header was rather nice), and as such, expect some hiccups along the way.
So, let's get stuck in. Some lineups after the jump, as well as the fixture list. Bigus will undoubtedly leave a comment about the Norwich game, as I can't be bothered to look up who they're playing.
Will Redknapp's men be inspired to victory? How late will Liverpool leave it to snatch a win? Will Paul Ince be fired by 5pm?
Onward and upward! Come draw with us after the jump. I'm off to the bar!
Fixtures
(10am kick-offs)
Aston Villa v Bolton
Liverpool v Hull
Man City v Everton
Stoke v Fulham
Sunderland v West Brom
Wigan v Blackburn
(12.30pm kick-off)
Tottenham v Man Utd
---
Some starting lineups
ASTON VILLA v. BOLTON
Aston Villa: Friedel, Cuellar, Laursen, Davies, Luke Young, Sidwell, Petrov, Barry, Milner, Agbonlahor, Ashley Young.
Subs: Guzan, Harewood, Delfouneso, Knight, Reo-Coker, Shorey, Gardner.
Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Cahill, Andrew O'Brien, Samuel, Davies, McCann, Nolan, Muamba, Taylor, Elmander.
Subs: Al Habsi, Smolarek, Gardner, Riga, Shittu, Basham, Obadeyi.
Early analysis: yep, 3-1 sounds about right. Barry/Milner/Agbo/Ashley will be too much for the Scandinavian beast between Bolton's posts.
--
WIGAN v. BLACKBURN
Wigan: Kirkland, Melchiot, Bramble, Scharner, Figueroa, Valencia, Cattermole, Brown, Taylor, Zaki, Heskey.
Subs: Pollitt, Kingson, Kilbane, Koumas, De Ridder, Cywka, Camara.
Blackburn: Robinson, Ooijer, Samba, Nelsen, Warnock, Emerton, Kerimoglu, Andrews, Pedersen, Roque Santa Cruz, Derbyshire.
Subs: Brown, Dunn, McCarthy, Villanueva, Simpson, Treacy, Roberts.
Early analysis: FIRED! Roque won't score, and seeing Zaki and Heskey starting together again is all you need to know. One wonders if Titus Bramble will have a say during the game's dying moments.
--
LIVERPOOL v. HULL
Liverpool: Reina, Arbeloa, Hyypia, Carragher, Dossena, Mascherano, Alonso, Benayoun, Gerrard, Riera, Kuyt.
Subs: Cavalieri, Agger, Keane, Babel, Leiva Lucas, Ngog, El Zhar.
Hull: Myhill, McShane, Zayatte, Turner, Ricketts, Mendy, Ashbee, Boateng, Geovanni, Barmby, King.
Subs: Warner, Windass, Garcia, Halmosi, Marney, Cousin, Giannakopoulos.
Early analysis: Please lord, not a draw. I love how we have 4 winger/strikers on the bench. Wonderful planning. 5 across the midfield, then, although seeing Xabi and Javier playing alongside one another is cause for hope.
--
MAN CITY v. EVERTON
Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Richards, Dunne, Ball, Ireland, Kompany, Elano, Wright-Phillips, Mwaruwari, Robinho.
Subs: Schmeichel, Onuoha, Vassell, Jo, Fernandes, Hamann, Ben-Haim.
Everton: Howard, Neville, Yobo, Jagielka, Lescott, Osman, Pienaar, Fellaini, Castillo, Arteta, Cahill.
Subs: Nash, Hibbert, Baines, Van der Meyde, Rodwell, Jutkiewicz, Gosling.
Early analysis: notice something weird about Everton's lineup? That's right... barely a striker. Also, I thought Van der Meyde was dead. Home win is looking assured.
--
STOKE v FULHAM
Stoke: Sorensen, Wilkinson, Abdoulaye Faye, Sonko, Higginbotham, Delap, Amdy Faye, Whelan, Pugh, Sidibe, Fuller.
Subs: Simonsen, Olofinjana, Cort, Cresswell, Pericard, Davies, Tonge.
Fulham: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hangeland, Hughes, Konchesky, Davies, Bullard, Murphy, Gera, Dempsey, Johnson.
Subs: Zuberbuhler, Nevland, Gray, Etuhu, Stoor, Andreasen, Kallio.
Early analysis: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzwakemewhenit'soverzzzzzzzz

one of the best ajax youth system players (along with benayoun) I ever saw.
Ah, another away draw. 60-40 possession. Out shoot them 10-3 in the second half. I think Aliadiere also scored to earn Boro a draw against Arsenal last season. Start loaning out your rejects to foreign leagues Wenger or they will punish you until you die (even if they don't do dick the rest of the season).
Have at 4th Villa.
I'm pretty sure I hold the fate of the Liverpool starting XI in my hands.
I put Kuyt on my fantasy team, he's on the bench. I put Keane on my fantasy team. He's on the bench. Bow down before me Reds. I accept cash payments.
@ PR: Miserable. Simply miserable. Five losses and three draws makes Andrew a dull boy.
Just looked at the stats. Gunners at 22 total shots. And only one - ONE! - went in.
Has anyone read Tom Wolfe's "The Right Stuff?" Arsenal has not "the right stuff" this year.
and Fellaini hits the bar - I blame the afro
Did Hull just . . . score?
Hide the women and children. Georger is awake.
Hull score from a free kick that was given on an epic dive, Sami didn't even touch the guy.
BUT AWESOME DEFENDING
rafa out
An I wanna move the town to the Hull City rockers.
You need a little jump of electrical shocker.
And it's Hull City, Hull City FC . . .
Wonderful cross from Gerrard, Kuyt and someone else miss.
textbook finishing from yossi and dirk. yossi didnt even pretend to try.
such an obvious trap game yet rafa fields a defensive team. master tactician my ass. like i said, this team is not good enough to win the league.
Hull almost had two. Dossena clears a danger cross.
Hull are like Gonzaga were eight years ago.
Anyone ever lose their job during a match before? Think Ince might get canned at the half.
Georger, at least your team is trying to win the league. Gunners look like they just want 4th.
At least Villa can't seem to ever make good on an opportunity to move into fourth; which secures Champions League play for LFC next year.
Wow.
Season over in December.
Gerrard gets one back. Good wing play.
It appears my stream is about a minute behind.
Citeh is all over Everton right now. No goals yet, thouh.
This might finish 8-6.
Jesus, this game is amazing. Both teams just running, running, running.
Yellow for McShane.
Sorry Georger, I'll delay my commenting.
Nah it's cool.
Nice clearance by Yossi, unfortunately in front of the wrong goal.
Cockbite gingerkid subbed off already?
Ok, so McShane is taken off. What was the reason for that change? My stream was choppy. Was it the yellow?
Hull has every right to be in the top 10.
Nice to see Robbo up to old tricks. Wigan up 2-0
Gerrard again. We're back on terms.
Scramble in front of the net leaves the ball for Gerrard to finish.
gerrard evens it up...this game is going at a crazy pace
defenses supplied by "Sieves r us"
wow
Well, that was fun while it lasted. That's a month worth of Fourthsenal offense inside of 25 minutes.
Wow, Gerrard left unmarked. Pool go even.
The only thing that is going to slow this game down is a whistle happy referee.
Mendy attempts the field goal. It's too high.
Oh Hank, so close.
Gerrard's second was a difficult volley, but he handled it well.
Riera trys a shot from the left, it scuppers across the goal face, wide.
Liverpool have retaken control of the game, but it's not comfortable control.
Quick counter from Pool gives Yossi a good opportunity on the right, inside the box. Yossi doesn't do well.
I'm enjoying watching Everton's 4-6-0 formation today. As for Arsenal, not sure if I have much else to say.
Citeh-Everton began at a good pace and was very entertaining; now it's just turned into a big clusterfuck at midfield.
Actually, Yossi did fine. Barmby hustled back and made a good defensive play.
outstanding strike from SWP hits the crossbar.
On another note, I have an intense dislike of SWP.
Aston Villa score and go up to fourth if they can hold on and win.
@ Spectator: There's nothing more to say. We're a 3rd/4th place team - more likely 4th. We need to focus on FA and CL if we want silverware.
Dirk Kuyt is ... Leadfoot McGee!
Terrible call against Barmby. The linesmen right there, Barmby slid and got the ball. Apparently that's a foul at Anfield.
It was a throw if it wasn't a foul, and as legendary Raconteur Leadfoot McGee was on the end of the freekick, unmarked, feet in front of net, there was no chance of a goal resulting.
Unless Wenger makes a couple of moves in January, it might be a 5th or 6th place team.
Right now Arsenal needs to have both Nasri and Sagna on the pitch. And they've both been injured in spells.
I listened to the conversation between Carragher and the radio host who said he "bottled" it by retiring from international play. He really doesn't speak English. I understand Gullah better than Carragher's version of the English language.
@ Andrew: I agree. You know, it's one thing to be a team like Aston Villa, Everton or Hull who play their hearts out but are destined to be 5th at best, it's another to be Arsenal who are just so damned inconsistent and will be aiming to hold on to a CL spot. Arsenal are starting to feel like the 2005-06 Phoenix Suns, a glorious experiment that is ultimately doomed to failure... according to that analogy, I think it's about time to trade for Shaq.
I understand Ozzy Osbourne better than Carragher
@ PR: There absence is conspicous. Wenger needs to make some moves come January just to strengthen the club. No one needs to actually leave, but the squad needs better depth.
The only English words he knows are 'you know.'
Man if only Liverpool had a guy who was really fast and could play several positions up top, he could probably do well in a game like this. Maybe a lanky black Dutchman. Oh well.
Andy Reid scores for Sunderland? While I'm assuming it is not in fact the walrus'esque Eagles head coach, I have no doubts that he could easily score on Carson as well.
I remain bullish on my Reds, but I will say think I find Dossena to be a serious liability. Speedy wingers can skin him at will.
At least Riise had that cannon of a left foot.
At least Riise had that cannon of a left foot.
And a good head for the ball.
Hey-o!
I wonder how many FSC viewers have actually purchased Proactiv? Two, maybe three?
Wow what the hell happened to Deadspin? Why would you redesign so every story has one line? Obviously, to get more advertising hits; but what was the bullshit reason they gave people?
Man even from a non-commentator I think that site has gone to hell since youknowwho died.
My stream went dead.
/prostrated
Y'all read the Russell Brand column in the Guardian? It's actually consistently good/funny....
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2008/dec/12/rafa-benitez-liverpool-manchester-united-chelsea
"The primary motivation behind the construction of Arsenal's Emirates Stadium was to create a homoerotic utopia where gay men can hang out and canoodle and that the matches are an unwelcome distraction from the endless, dubious congas."
Oh man I have one of those streams that every few minutes runs at double speed to catch up. Dirk has never moved so fast in his life!
"Would it be a day for Robbie Keane to come on and make an impression?"
No.
Hey, all that match day gay money is just as good come transfer window. Now if the pedophile manager would just spend some of it.
Sweet my stream crashed.
SopCast/LiveFooty? Mine too.
I'm not sure what that says about my deep desire to get to the Emirates.
Barmby challenges Dossena down the right. Dossena falls down. I you can't convince me he didn't do it on purpose.
Dossena is terrible. Just terrible. But as for some fucking reason there is no fullback on the bench, guess he isn't going anywhere.
Make changes now damnit. Keane for Kuyt, Babel for Yossi.
Who does Reira look like?
Steam of the Liverpool match... sportonlaptop dot com
Andrew: Hank Azaria.
Good link, well done!
Wow I thought that was in.
I can't make my mind up about Russell Brand. His shtick is pretty annoying, but he's also a really good writer.
Hyyyyypppia header hits the post.
The way Rafa approaches his squad selection reminds me of how Bush approached the war in Iraq. No matter how bad things were, Bush never wanted to make a change for fear of looking desperate. Rafa looks to have the same mindset.
@ Spec: That's the stream I've been using. It's quality.
Rafa: management through complacency.
I don't think he knows you can make subs before 65'
Guarantee that Rafa takes off Riera and Mascherano instead of Kuyt and Yossi.
Does Babel put any effort forth in training? Is that why he never gets on?
Riera had a wonderful strike, but alas, it was right at Myhill.
He did play a full 90 on Tuesday.
Maybe Rafa is racist.
Riera definitely the best signing by Rafa this year, the only good one.
There has to be someone out there who can manage this talent better. Has to be.
How is Geovanni not at a bigger club? He's fantastic.
Marlon King, on the other hand, is not fantastic. He's the absence of fantastic.
Yossi flubs another break.
And did Dossena literally just kick the ball backwards after winding up?
The racism claim may have legs. Rafa is Spanish.
Nice dive by Carra.
Embarrassing game for him.
Benayoun frustrates the shit out of me. He's like the poor man's Luis Garcia -- but with 60% less moments of brillance.
El-Zhar comes on for Pool. Of course he does.
Rafa really hates whoever signed Babel and Keane.
Whats that?
Has a manager ever been fired while his team was top? Liverpool seems to win despite Rafa.
WINDASS!!!
El Zahr? Rafa would irritate me if I were a Liverpool fan.
The New Jersey Devils do it all the fucking time.
I'm fine with bringing Nabil on, he has been a supersub thus far but being the first sub with fifteen minutes left is unacceptable.
Anfield just got a lot older. And fatter.
Aston Villa now up to 4-1. Welcome to fifth place, Arsenal.
Coming into the game for Hull City, Number nine, Mike Georger!
I like El Zhar... he's useful enough, despite the lack of seasoning.
It's the "Predict Rafa's post-draw cliche headline" time!
I'm going with 'Rafa rues missed chances.' Although 'Rafa: We deserved to win' is due for a comeback.
@ Spec: Arsenal are who we thought they were back in August. Young squad, no real depth, no forceful mids or backs. We are a 4th/5th place squad.
If Parry could somehow get Jose to bail on Inter right now that would be the greatest Christmas present of all. It's a Festivus miracle!
Riera off, Babel on. Because that makes perfect sense. Why not take Kuyt off?
Ashley Young bags Villa's fourth. Vills 4-1 SF Bolton. So glad Levy felt it would have cost too much to bring him to the Lane. Really, Daniel, good bit of business.
HEY LETS TAKE OFF OUR MOST CREATIVE PLAYER!
god DAMNIT I hate this man.
Why do Spanish managers hate Robbie Keane?
Good for Villa. I like the squad, like MON, they play hard and fast. I wish it were some other team dropping out of the top four and not Gunners
"Why do Spanish managers hate Robbie Keane?"
Must have some black in him.
Wow. Kuyt had a wonderful opportunity, absolutely wonderful. Inside the box, chested it down, and he slips.
Kuyt is just poetry in motion.
Treacly, awkward 7th grade poetry.
And there goes my feed. Dammit.
Wow. Dirk. Wow.
Rafa I am so glad you are so stubborn.
OH GREAT BRING LUCAS ON
FIRE THIS MAN
Yeah... anyone else lose that feed? On reload it says "Off Air."
Lucas on.
Yes, Robbie Keane, over here! 15 mil and you sit against Hull. How does that make you feel?
Aberdeen 2-1.
Carry on.
I just lost it.
Yup, the Liverpool Hull feed is dead. Oh well.
Everton score in the 92nd
http://cerebrotec.blogspot.com/search/label/aovivo2
It's not English. Carragher won't mind.
Mine is alive and well
Hull are going to win
3rd minute of stoppage. Will there be a hero for either side?
Many thanks, Andrew.
Exeter City lose today. Sneaking into League One this year might be a bit of a reach for my Grecians.
So, Georger ... Rafa needs to go, yeah?
Dropped points again.
All I want for Christmas is a healthy Fernando Torres.
Everton might be the most unexciting football team, ever. Plodding, inelegant, and disorganized.
Trust me, Georger, when I tell you that most definitely do not want Juande Ramos. I would rather put my manly bits in a meat grinder than have that inept waster back at the Lane.
Really? Because they've played two of the mose entertaining matches this season. That Villa game was awesome (although I fear those extra two points they picked up will cost Arsenal 4th).
Granted I was only taking peaks up from the Liverpool stream but they had no strikers today to injury. And they created more chances than Citeh.
mose = more
Seeing as how Everton didn't have a single healthy striker, I thought that was about as good a game as they could've played. And Fellaini is kind of fun to watch -- when he isn't elbowing people in the head, he's making plays.
As usual, PR beats me to the same point, AND says it better than me!
So here we are, two weeks from Christmas, and Villa is sitting 4th. Hull is 6th with 27 points and playing well. Both Fulham and SFB are top-half.
Interesting season.
TAKE THAT RAFA!
Heh, Georger
@ PR: Everton have no right to be sitting 7th. None. Yet there they are.
Now, if only Man U and Chelsea both drop points this weekend too.
All I want for Christmas is for a meteor to land in the vicinity of the Spurs-ManU match. And by "vicinity," I mean "pitch." And by "pitch" I mean SAF's face.
No Berba for ManUre. How apropos. Tevez alone up front.
Andrew... No, not really. But Moyes has done an excellent job maximizing his talent (which is a little better than decent—Arteta, Lescott, Howard, Osman).
UEFA Cup/Europa League may not be that bad for the Arsenal next year. European experience against softer sides, and a good shot at silverware. I mean, this could be good, yeah? Yeah?
/desperate rationalization
I see your point, PR. I've only seen them three times this season, and it was just ugly, boring footy. They make a morass at midfield for the majority of the match. They had mroe chances today because well, even a team as inept as Everton on offense has a shot against that Citeh back line. They are awful back there. Dunne has lost his mind, and they miss Corluka (thanks, Citeh, BTW) badly.
@PR: When I was writing about Everton, I wanted to insert the video of Jim Cramer screaming, "No right! They have no right!"
What is worse: A manager who refuses to make transfers, yet often manages to get a lot out of a little. Or a manager who is completely inept in both transfer policy and tactics? I'd trade Rafa for Arsene any day of the week.
I really need to take a shit but I am so angry, I'm worried I'll give myself a hernia.
I believe the letters "m" "o" "r" and "e" have conspired to not allow any UFers to put them together.
Really Mike, you'd only be trading one set of frustrations for another. Shit, I can't believe Wenger still brings on Bendtner instead of Vela.
You drew at home to Hull. Arsenal lost at home to Hull. United gave up 3 goals at home to Hull and were lucky to escape with the win. They are legit. No shame in drawing especially after being down 2. Liverpool is still top of the table (for now), so maybe enjoy it as it might be over in 24 hours.
Oh no doubt Hull are quality. The result itself is not what pisses me off really, I called the draw when I saw the lineup, I was prepared for that. It is the consistent ineptitude on Rafa's part which is an indication that draws at home are going to continue to happen. He is a horrendous in game manager, bottom line.
SAF with a late switch. Berba is in. Have at the sulking, scummy bastard, lads.
I have this sinking feeling that Spurs are going to get run over today. BAE matched against CR is just not even fair.
I mean how the fuck do you not name a single fullback on the bench? How do you bring in a holding midfielder when your lone striker has been leadfooting around the box the entire game? How do you take off your most creative player?
The majority of his transfers have been colossal failures (remember, Pennant is still collecting a paycheck, I think Mark Gonzalez is dead, and god knows how fat Leto is getting in Greece). His subbing this season has been horrendous. And his lineups are just terrible. I am all for rotating players to keep fresh, but rotating younger players for older players makes no sense.
Wow lads, impressive stuff. I come back to 160+ comments with a stomach full of Carlsberg. Sterling work, everyone!
Re: Benitez
Look at it this way Georger (and believe me, this is a stretch for me too)... he's managed a draw from 2-0 down which is not something we're known for doing. Not only that, but his substitutions, however bizarre, are geared towards making sure everyone has experience in these important pressure situations. Our squad isn't Arsenal-thin, but we need to have 17-19 players who can fill in for one another and provide support in the title push. If individual players have confidence at being called on in the EPL, the whole team's confidence will improve (at least this is something I've learned from playing Manager Mode in FIFA 09... damn confidence ratings). El Zhar, Kuyt, Benayoun and Lucas need to feel like they're essential to the squad, and we need them to have confidence just as much as Gerrard/Alonso, etc.
Still, Babel coming on so late AGAIN was baffling, not to mention using El Zhar over Babel in the first wing substitution.
That said, we have a good squad, and we did manage to come back from 2-0 down at home. Could have been embarrassing today.
The Keane situation is truly baffling, however.
Now back to more beers!
/clutching at straws
/wishes we'd won
/happy we didn't lose
/still in the mix at the top, regardless of whether Chelsea win or not
We've got Silvestre trying to patch up the middle of the back. We let Flamini and Hleb walk and replace them with the only Brazilian who sucks a futbol (Denilson). You might have overspent on crap, but our inability to spend at market prices possibly put Cristiano Louganis in SAF's charge.
Really, it's been a steady decline from Pires and Henry to this. Glad we didn't throw away millions in the process but we are in a fight for 4th, Liverpool is in a fight for first.
Just sayin'...
And Woodgate off with a knee injury. We're screwed.
PR: I appreciate your added perspective on this. We are still in the middle of a title race, and as you said earlier, drawing to Hull isn't something to be ashamed of. They put 3 on Man U, put goals on Arsenal and we managed not to completely shit our pants at 0-2 and fight back well for the draw.
Yeah it's a real Sophie's Choice between those two isn't it.
It's quite a special feat for the FSC announcers to be able to call a match with a mouth full of CR's genetic material.
Me too. Fuck he's good. Just watch him off the ball. Smart kid. Only 18. Fuck I hate United and everything about them.
I almost hate them enough to pull for Spurs. Almost. Where's a meteor when you really need one??
Damn. Lost my feed.
If theres anything worse than watching a United game, it's watching in the lounge of a law school listening to fuckface law students talking about suing the school for not selling Rose Bowl tickets in the right fashion. If I had a gun...
Not sure who Rafael reminds me of. He's got this kind of frenetic control thing going on.
I'd say that Park is having himself quite a nice season here.
Hopefully for everyone elses sake it Titus Bramble
Modric shoulda scored. Looked like he was trying to head it through the net.
Another feed goes down. Dammit. I'll have to resort to the Guardian's live blog.
The only way that's better is if they call a hand ball on Pavslyuchenko.
I hate CR with a passion that will never die.
Why 'Arry keeps trotting BAE out there, I will never know. The man is just not equal to the task.
Have I missed anything?
"If theres anything worse than watching a United game, it's watching in the lounge of a law school listening to fuckface law students talking about suing the school for not selling Rose Bowl tickets in the right fashion. If I had a gun..."
Does every law student do this shit? I swear my cousins friend wanted to sue his school over something stupid like this. Its like just because they just finished a civil law class and now they want to sue everyone.
@ Adam: I had a classmate threaten to sue because our school didn't provide a reasonable meal plan. He then ran on "meal plan" platform for the student senate. He won.
I'd say upwards of 90% of them are douches like that. I just don't associate with any of them anymore.
Now they're complaining about typos in a final exam question.
You goto the 90th best school in the country, shut the fuck up.
Georger, have you ever read philalawyer.net or bitterlawyer.com? If not, you should. There's a great theory about only 10% of law students being decent human beings. Coincidentally, it translates over to ManPoo fans as well.
That crap should have been Rafael's second yellow. How many times can you hack someone down and not get booked?
If you play for ManUre, the answer to that question is apparently "as many times as one wishes."
CR with yet another handball and it disallows a goal! HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Couldn't happen to a better guy.
Bent on for Pavs as Huddlestone gets booked immediately for tackling in the same manner as Rafael has been all day. How I loathe ManUre.
Never heard of those; though 'Happy Hour is for Amateurs' looks like a great read.
Yeah, THATS a card you muppet looking fuck. I love watching Lennon play.
I kinda/sorta want Spurs to win, just so I can tool around with the idea of Gunners still having a shot at the Prem.
Anyone have a feed?
Rafael finally receives a booking for hacking Lennon down, but I'm sure SAF will weave some sophistry about how it was all due to Lennon's fakery.
If I was fucking Clifford the Big Red Dog from behind and blew my load all over his back, that is what United's jerseys look like.
O'Hara on for an ineffective and invisible Jenas.
That's twice today that Bentley has forced van der Saar into a full stretch. Spurs need him to get it going.
Nice save, Gomes.
/incredulous at that sentence.
BAE looks like Snoop from The Wire.
I didn't realize the latter was a girl until the fifth season, and I had no fucking idea who the former was until today.
When you have crossers like Lennon and Bentley why would you insist on short corners? Thats Rafa league right there.
Whenever ever I look at Aaron Lennon, I think of the scaled model airplanes I used to have: He's 1:72nd the size of a real footballer.
Ah, Aaron! So damn close!
Goal coming right here, I feel it
Agreed, Georger. I hate, hate, hate the short cross.
Here it comes
CR kicks Dawson, but, since he's CR, it's cool. ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
OH I thought that was in
Oh, Modric . . . nice run into space.
WHEW
Darren Bent is still cack.
Oh, LUKA! Damn.
Ronaldo dive to set up the winner?
whoa, whoa, whoa. a 2nd page of comments?
Open game, flowing game . . . a game Rafa would despise.
NYK, we try our best.
If Bent could've controlled that outlet, he'd been in on goal sans defenders. But, alas, twas not to be. Because he's Darren Bent.
OH MY GOD what a horrible call
Dawson's gotta be incredulous about that call after CR kicked him a few minutes back and nothing was called
Wait til you see Giggs' dive phil
Jesus, what a save. Gomes, you may have just earned your side a point.
