UF Quick Throw: Boruc makes his case for GK of the Year

Artur Boruc didn't make it any easier for Celtic at Hibernian this past weekend. With the score at 0-0 and the game delicately poised, poor Artur did his best Heurelho impression. And one wonders why goalies frequently sell for 8-10 million pounds. [101 Great Goals]

Total cost of the starting keepers for the top five: <20 million GBP (7 for Cech, 2 for VDS, undisclosed for Pep and Manny, 2 mill for Brad the First)

Total cost for the bottom 5: ~30 million (10 for Gordon, 3.5 for Spills, 5 mill for Misses, 7.8 for Gomes, 1.5 for Given [though that really shouldn't count])

Wow. I heard about it but didn't see it til now. Rankin says he and Riordan practice those, swerve and bounce in front of the keeper so it's not all Bprucs fault...

Bigus, I don't care how many times you practice that, it still needs a moron in goal to make it work. Without that part, it's a straightforward save.

(While I have no idea what the actual Polish spelling is, this spelling got enough google hits for me to think it acceptable. Acceptable as spelling, that is. The actual dish is something I hope never to taste again.)
