UF Quick Throw: Luton Lose Battle for League Status.

Luton Town were relegated from the Football League today after they failed to beat Chesterfield. Grimsby were surprise winners at Notts County and that vital away win lifted the fishy people 13 points from Luton who have just 4 games left and a possible 12 point haul. Luton faced a struggle all season after being docked 30 points by the Football League for financial irregularities including entering administration. Without the 30 point deficit Luton would currently sit 15th in League 2. They drop out of the league and face some very important challenges to keep the squad together in a league largely filled with semi-pro sides and just 2 promotion places up for grabs.

Huge wins for Norwich and Exeter though. C'mon City! (both of them)

GD could play a part but the scum for us next.

Great result today, BD! The write-up I saw was very encouraging. You've got GD by a bunch over everyone you might end up fighting it out with (except Plymouth, if they get sucked in somehow), and I like the Canaries' run-in more than anyone else's involved (excepting the extra game for Barnsley, but even that's at Coventry). Keep the spirits up, and give the scum what's coming to them!

And now for something completely different:
NOR-
WICH-
O-
MON!

Dammit, if I have to be a bastard, I will be...I've never had any girlfriend be as bad a dick tease as this thing has been...get it D-U-N, done, will ya?

Coventry are on the beach. I'm scared. Beat the scum and I'll believe.

BD: the reporting I saw about Luton implied that a number of squad members might want to stick around for the fight to return to League football. I know this sounds great, but is this typical pro athlete BS? Or are players at this level paid reasonably enough that they might take it as a personal challenge to do so, knowing the risk?

Also, you and LB, don't make me become a prick about Norwichomon. It was an absolutely brilliant idea before it ever happened, and the first installments were worth the seemingly everlasting wait...
