Quick Throw: Before Making Summer Plans Read This

  • Inter Milan takes on Club America in San Jose on July 19.
  • Chelsea will take on Inter at the Rose Bowl on July 21. Tickets go on sale today and the Mourinho - Chelsea reunion sounds incredibly appetizing, presuming he is still there at that time.
  • AC Milan will take on Club America at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on July 22.
  • Chelsea will take on AC Milan in Baltimore on July 24. Tickets go on sale today.
  • There will be a Milan Derby as Inter and AC Milan battle it out on American soil on July 26 at Foxboro Stadium.
  • Chelsea will play Club America at Cowboys Stadium on July 26.
  • Don't forget Chelsea will play Seattle Sounders on July 18 in Seattle.
The Chelsea, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Club America matches are part of something called the World Football Challenge. This is supposedly the website for it but it's not live yet. UPDATE: The website is now live and has links to purchase all of the tickets for the World Football Challenge.

Also Barcelona plays LA Galaxy on August 1.

Do I want to spend the weekend before the bar exam in Baltimore? I vote yes, anyone interested in going?

But Georger, Becks will be gone by then!

BackBergtt said...

True but there will still be many filthy, filthy, eye ties to taunt.

I'm likely going to the Seattle-Chelsea game as that's the closest to me and it's on a weekend.

Airfare from Cleveland to Baltimore is sometimes as low as $50; I may have to check into that.

I'll be going to Baltimore.

But those prices are stupid ridiculous, other than the nosebleeds for $35.

Yes!!! It is good to live near LA:

AC Milan vs. Galaxy (July 19)
Inter Milan vs. Chelsea (July 21)
Galaxy vs. Barcelona (August 1)

I'm willing to offer up the Galaxy on the altar of soccer in order to be able to be able to see Inter, Milan, Chelsea and Barca play live.

I'll be going to atlanta to see europeans drop like flies in the summer georgia heat. Also because tallahassee is no where near any other city in america.

I might be going to Baltimore.

Wish Barcelona were playing DC instead of LA. Seeing Kaka play wouldn't be too terrible though.

4 games in 9 days for Chelsea? No, injury concerns there...

I believe World Soccer Daily has some affiliation with the tour. They said on the show yesterday that they will be a discount on tickets. On their website there is an offer code (WSD).

Nathaniel said...

Just so everyone knows, the WSD discount is $1.50.

Which is a joke.

Okay kids, I'm looking at that Baltimore game too and think I can swing it. I'm proposing we do some sort of unofficial UF meetup. Assuming that I'm not the only contributor who's willing to go and I don't change my mind (heh), I'll post something later today. I'll also look into getting a block of tickets at a group discount.

Unknown said...

$1.50? That is pretty weak.

Adam said...

Spectator, I know a couple of guys at Avoiding the Drop were talking about hitting Baltimore up too.

BurgerBrother said...

Bought my Chelsea - Inter tickets this morning.

Fuck you ticketmaster for the $11.50 per ticket convenience charge.

I hope Zlatan hasn't moved on by then.

I might be up for Baltimore. Don't let that dissuade you.

Jacob said...

Thinking about it myself.

jjf3 said...

Considering it. Need to figure out the rest of the possible games this summer, and when/how often I can take time off...

BackBergtt said...

Fuck it. I'm in for Baltimore. It's only two and a half hours from here. Let me know about group tickets or whatever.

Teeknuts said...

Nothing in Minnesota? Come on! We have a big mall!

Spectator said...

I'm up for the game, genuinely on the fence about my commitment to organizing a group purchase! I'll sleep on it and see if I'm willing to deal with logistics. In the meantime, I have an email or two out there to see if we can find some sorta in on group sales -- otherwise, typically requires 30 tickets which is a bit more than I'm willing to front.

I got tickets to the Milan Chelsea game in Baltimore. If you can swing it go VIP - 90 min practice session for both teams- free 2 hr buffet and drink and access to party tent before game- plus 6 rows off the field- considering you get all that for 60 dollars more than the 125 seats which are 2nd level seats. Cant really beat the price.
