**UPDATE** Oink, Oink

Some fun from the Champions League ManU-Arsenal showdown. Now the question is whether this gent is protecting himself from swine flu or protecting everybody else.

I didn't know Luka Modric was a ManU fan.

After the jump, see if you can spot Mr. PFA Giggs in his usual spot in the stands, plus a few other entertaining photos.

Does Andrei Arshavin ever take a non-goofy photo? I think he's skipping here with his Dorothy Hamill hair.

Must have been beans in the cafeteria that day.

Carlito seems to be enjoying that one a bit too much, don't you think?

Per request, the Vidic diving header pic and an Evra nipple biting picture

Tommy Smyth is a steward at OT?

"was also at the grocery store and my cashier coughed. i panicked, sort of (wasn’t wearing a surgical mask) and then quickly used hand gel."

*facepalm*

In the words of Fred Thompson... this business will get out of hand, it will get out of hand and we'll be lucky to live through it.

What business? The flu or the hysteria?

Also, not straight Luka. More like the bastard child of Modric and Jeff Tweedy.

And where's the pic of Vidic plowing through Adebayor's legs in the box?

amazing photos. i flew from Chicago to LAX yesterday and saw at least 50 people in those airports with masks covering their faces.

I was thinking today of how to make money off of this. The answer of course is personalized masks. Sell masks emblazoned with your favorite team's logo for two bucks a pop? Profit. Picture it, 77k douchebags at the OT donning United crest masks, easy to picture isn't it?

i actually called up my stock broker and bought tons of shares in the companies that manufacture the masks. but i like your idea better.

I had the mask thought, then thought, "Well if markets are efficient they have already incorporated prices for whoever makes masks into their stock." So I thought "What else is going to make money that not everybody has realized yet?" Then I figured I wasn't smart enough to come up with anything.

Not only is Evra biting Theo's nipple, he's reaching for his package. Evra is a closet dom. Bet Tevez is his gimp.

What's the story with the Ade-Vidic pic? Is it from when Tommy Smyth said something about Vidic trying to head it and Ade getting called for a dangerous play? That didn't make any sense at the time but I never saw a replay.

What's the story? Vidic totally took out Adebayor. If Ade gets to that touch he might get a one-on-shot shot against Van der Sar. On the follow through Vidic actually wraps his arm around Ade's leg. I say it live and told the people around me to watch for it on the replay. ESPN (or whoever handles the production on the feed) never showed a replay.

Some other defender. Some other ground. People are saying that's maybe a penalty. Nobody said anything because it wasVidic, it was United, it was at Old Traf(t)ford, and it was Tommy Smyth.

Yes, it's sour grapes. No it's not the reason Arsenal lost. But it is another example of United getting away with things that other teams would get whistled for.

It's time for the Peter Sarsgaard SARS Guard

there was a series of pics with Vidic's diving header. pretty impressive to watch it frame by frame.

Mike - personalised facemasks already available in Japan, Korea and Vietnam where they're part of everyday dress anyhow! I also saw (slide side-topic) team-coloured Jewish skullcaps (sorry, don't know the correct terminology) in a shop in Jerusalem. They also had Spiderman, cannabis leaves... name it!

As for that first pic, the police refused to let anyone wearing facemasks into the Middlebrough v Newcastle game I last went to (a few years ago now). Boro are nicknamed the Smoggies because of the (low) quality of air in the area. But the police didn't have a sense of humour. Or it was to do with not being able to identify people on CCTV or some such privacy-invading issue.

Kind of typical that there's a different set of rules for ManUre supporters just cos some pigs have the sniffles.
