It's an international week and you know what that means? MLS doesn't take a break like nearly every other major soccer league in the world. MLS squads, already thin, get even thinner if they have any national teamers on the squad.
That, however, is of no concern to this man to the right who is of the "less is more" opinion. At least when clothes are concerned. Thankfully, Wemberley fans won't have to deal with those sweet mankinis during the England-Kazakhstan qualifier. Authorities will arrest all fans sporting the Borat costume at Wembley.
After the jump, some select World Cup qualifier matches and some MLS matches. Play in the comment sandbox.

You European/MLS elitists kill me
7pm USA-Cuba (ESPN Classic)
Scotland comes out in a mashup 4-3-3. Norway in a 4-4-2.
I think Kenny Rogers was singing Flower of Scotland. Again.
15 minutes in. Norway have looked the better bet to score.
Gordon with a nice save on Carew in the 20th
Fletcher starting to show some quality from out wide. Scotland with two decent attacks in the last 3 minutes or so.
The second 15 sees Scotland looking a lot better. There have been some good runs, but the final ball has been poor. Norway have settled into a counterattack mindset, and still look dangerous to nick one, as Scotland's backline has not been sharp.
say 'my name is borat' without the accent. not so funny now is it? add that to the fact his entire act is a blatant ripoff of the old python hungarian phrase book sketch; and i want to punch him in the face.
would be nice to see scotland get a win here especially at the expense of riise
HT 0-0.
in the 45th, Morrison heads over from 3 yards out. He can also be said to have blown a good chance about 20 minutes earlier when, sent in alone by Fletcher, he put an 8 yard pass about 3 feet behind McFadden.
"John Arne Riise manages to land a shot in the first row of the crowd - which is some feat at Hampden Park. The former Liverpool defender looks to have injured himself in the process, and I'm not surprised. "
*slow clap*
*speeds up clap just slightly*
Game seems to have become more physical in the second half
3 changes. The surprising one is James Mcfadden off for Iwelumo, making his debut. That puts Iwelumo up alone, because Scotland's 4-3-3 is, predictably, a 4-5-1
Actually, it's morphed into a proper 4-4-2 for Scotland
Iwelumo just sealed his fate for Scotland. Goalkeeper beaten, 4 feet out, from the center of the goal, he puts it wide.
If I just watch part of Wales v. Lichtenstein is that enough to confirm I have a problem, or do I have to watch the whole thing?
Maloney has had a couple of good looks go wide in the last 5. Scotland is really all over Norway at this point, but no goals yet.
Iwelumo should have been subbed after that miss. He's gone invisible.
Gordon saves Scotland there. 5 minutes left.
Defender got a touch.
Shit Balls. Scotland will not qualify for the World Cup. Three games in, and the attempt is over.
England line-up in. No surprises. Upson in for Terry.
4-0 Final.
Nah, all the have to do is go to the Netherland and get three points and they are right back in it.
Oh.
and now for the funniest reaction picture in qualifying history
i think hes shocked it didnt go in
I'm half tempted to start a dual live blog of both UT-OU and Engerland Kazakhstan.
Wow...fsc going bigtime today. Live Engerland action!
5-1.
Gerrard (2), Theo, Rooney (2)
feels like a 0-0 to me. rooney misses at least six sitters and eats at least a dozen racks of ribs.
If it's 0-0 AND Rooney eats at least 1 rack of ribs, I'll give you a guest post, Mike.
[TFA wakes up]...what the hell? The USA game wasn't on the Soccernet schedule last night.
Sooners up 7-0. Texas' secondary is going to give up 300 yards easy today.
Hmph. A likely excuse. I was going to edit the post, but it seemed more fun to take the piss.
Heads up, JTV feed I have is over a minute ahead of FSC.
Ah, got myself a flawless SopCast feed... but it's in Chinese. I'm missing the dolcet tones of Martin Tyler...
So by going to dinner with my parents tonight, I'm missing both the Charlotte race and USA-Cuba?
No wonder I'm my mother's favorite son.
Eh, give me the Superspeedways or nothing. All of those tri-ovals are the same. At least it's not the 600.
Oh, and
Background dude, Yes, Yes, Dude, Yes Yes
Should have added: Upson (og)
That Upson pass was shocking... it's the kind of thing we do when we get bored with a co-ed game...
Play 'How many times can we play our 'keeper into danger?' for our own amusement...
What I've been waiting for.
Iwelumo's miss
thats what you get for freezing out carragher
Meh, Glad Carra isn't playing int'l matches anymore. Better for us.
And well in J (unlike Iewlumo)... damn, he could have shinned that ball in.
In his defense... it looked like the keeper made contact and it took an unexpected high bounce, so that it went off Iwelumo's upper leg.
Anyone who has played has had those type of misses. Just usually they are not on your national debut, 10 minutes after coming on. Oh, and the home fans booed the fact that the manager took off the guy you replaced. Bad juju for Mr. Iwelumo, unfortunately. Doubt he'll see the pitch again next game.
"There might be a credit crunch, but there's a crunching tackle there by Upton as well" - Warren Barton, FSC
Wow Mike, you're one scoreless half and a dozen rack of ribs from looking like Kreskin.
Play 'How many times can we play our 'keeper into danger?' for our own amusement...
This is why I hate my co-ed team. Except they do it out of sheer incompetence, forcing me to make Barthez-like saves time and again.
A British team finally scores after (quick calculation... )177 minutes of football.
Wales up 1-0.
Oh Rio, you twat.
Did everyone here go to sleep?(understable on the first half "performance"). Anyway, England 1-0 up - Rio Ferdinance from a corner.
Correction - now 2-0. Wayne Rooney. Another set peice.
For an own goal, that was a pretty sweet header.
That is the prettiest own goal I have ever seen.
And Bursitis flies into a rage as Beckham runs on to the pitch
Ahem. 5-1.
yeah, but you got the OG wrong. Just because you couldn't name any Kazakhs doesn't mean you get a pass.
instead of watching the second half i nuked some leftover ribs then went to the gym. i think i made the right call on that one.
Only 5 goals...Not enough for Georger. I'll take it though.
Putting ribs in the microwave is never the right call, Bigus. But nice try on baptizing it, Piscopo style, by saying you then went to the gym.
my mistake, i meant that for Georger, not Bigus. All apologies.
the oven was in use at the time
OVEN!?!?! Would you employ Matt Stover as a forward? Then don't put ribs in the oven. That's what charcoal grills are for.
and frankly, slow roasting ribs in a bath for four or five hours is a much better way of cooking them than grilling them. you preserve so much more of the juice, dont char the outside at all, and can infuse them with infinitely more flavors in the bath.
Dishwater ribs will never hold a candle to slow-smoked ribs. Never. Boiling them is just cheating.
two cups of water for ten pounds of ribs doth not equal boiling
shit i put more vinegar and worsheshshetiser in there by volume than water
