Premier League Tech Battle Heats Up Part 2

The EPL is stepping up its battle against internet pirates...ARRR!!! But, it appears the league may be facing a more sinister internal enemy, a virus attacking it from the inside if you will, the pubs of England.

The publicans apparently have been using pirated broadcast decoders imported from Greece to broadcast oversees games. But, the pub owners argue the decoders are not illegal and protected by European Free Trade laws as they were purchased legitimately in Greece and imported to the UK.

If the pubs prevail, some believe this will undermine the system wherein the pubs have to pay Setanta and Sky to broadcast the games.

Let's just hope the pubs prevail.
