There's some big, probably over-hyped match this weekend. Perhaps you have noticed. However, it's not today, so you can continue to sleep off that hangover.
Selected schedule (times EDT):
7.30 Aberdeen-Dundee United
7.45 Sunderland-Middlesbrough
10.00 Norwich-Sheffield United
10.00 Blackburn-Fulham
10.00 Liverpool-Stoke City
10.00 West Ham-Newcastle
12.30 Bolton-Arsenal
And, of course, anything else you want to talk about.
For example, Lisa Munday, Norwich City's Jamie Cureton's special someone. One more after the jump.

Thanks to whomever picked put the picture. Here for the Aberdeen match. Need more sleep.
Both teams have squandered early chances at the back post. Aberdeen sky a shot off of a free kick deflection, and United fail to get a good touch on a cross.
Aberdeen are dominating the match in most facets, which is considerate, since I'm up. Still, no quality touch at the end, which sucks.
Not much quality touch anywhere at this point. Really want the ref to start using his cards against these hearty United challenges.
There's one. Lee Wilkie, United captain, gets a yellow.
First real chance on goal for either team gets scrambled away. Aberdeen had a couple of kicks in at it, but a nice save and a couple of bodies in the way kept the ball out.
HT
Aberdeen 0-0 Dundee United
Game started off brightly, but around the 20 minute mark, it turned to dreck. Perhaps not coincidentally, that's the time that Sone Aluko changed from exciting to invisible.
Still 0-0 in Sunderland as well. Apparently, Cisse has started well there. It's only a matter of time before he breaks his legs though, right?
Awesome. United come out, put a shot on goal. Saved for corner. Corner results in a PK for handball.
PK scored. 47th minute. 0-1 Dundee United.
Well, that was crap.
United get their first win of the season, and their first in 13 dating back to last season. Aberdeen keep up their home form. So far, they have taken 1 point from 12 at home (against Rangers), but 6 of 6 on the road. At Celtic next week, should be easy then, right?
May be back for Arsenal at 12.30. Until then, I'm going back to sleep.
I have most definitely got a case of the Munday's......
don't hate me, I had to.....
Watching WestHam/Newcastle.....it's ugly early, West Ham could already be up 3-0......
that body says woman but those lips say man
still 0-0 in the Norwich game...Roeder shakes things up after Wed and has made 5 changes...
Up the City!
I love it when you do that.
why has FSC seen fit to televise Newcastle two weeks in a row??? do they get to choose which match they broadcast nationally or does the league choose for them?
Di Michele is making life VERY tough got Nrecastle....hat trick seems inevitable
this could not be going better for Zola on his debut...
if i had to find the ten dumbest pricks in the world, i would first hit up justins tv chatrooms. holy god.
What's the deal with the Stoke Liverpool score?
liverpool have been in the stoke half id say 90 percent of the game and just havent finished well, torres just headed wide a great chance.
saw this in the queue last night and thought it could use a little pick me up.
dropping points at home to stoke? thats a paddlin
15 corners for liverpool
sami is the only one on this team who can fucking score from them unfortunately and he naturally isnt playing against a team that thrives on set pieces
We've replaced Liverpool with the A-Team. Let's see if anyone notices the difference ...
torres has been absolute garbage today. jesus christ. i guess hes not fit or something but man, he should have had at least 2.
19 corners
19
garbage
apparently there was a goal disallowed in the first few minutes by gerrard that the announcers say shouldnt have be waived off. whatever.
you have all the momentum in the world and drop points at home to a fucking newcomer. this is unfathomably bad.
the disallowed goal
dont think kuyt touched it, thats not offsides, bad call
either way, way to take a massive dump torres and keane. well done, well done.
Norwich Wins 1-0. 1st Home win of the season. Lee Croft with an injury time winner over Sheff United. On The Ball City!
i just canceled my eseason ticket. not getting my eight dollars if eighty million cant buy a fucking goal against stoke. i expect rafas badge and gun on my desk in the morning.
Kuyt looked offside to me. If he was, he was active, and the goal should be disallowed.
And honestly, you can't be all pissy about that in the third minute if you can't score the rest of the game. Against Stoke.
@Trippin' Brammie-Setanta has first rights to 15.00 games. FSC gets to choose after Setanta. It was either West Ham-Newcastle or Blackburn-Fulham. I think they OD'd on Team America last season. Also, it's not like they choose some days before the game, they choose months in advance.
To cover my ass:
at least that's my understanding of the situation.
And honestly, you can't be all pissy about that in the third minute if you can't score the rest of the game. Against Stoke.
agree 100%, but ill bet dollars to donuts the lead of rafas interview is bitching about the refs
not about how he sticks with kuyt on the right against a slow team instead of using pennant, or god forbid pushing gerrard to his best position and hurting his fucking feelings.
or about how he keeps reverting to the 4-4-2 which hasnt been successful for this team in over a fucking decade instead of the 4-2-3-1 that worked so well the latter half of last season.
or about how nothing has fucking changed despite him having essentially unlimited funds the past two years
its the ref
(though i dont think he was active, but i sure as shit dont understand the rule)
Bendtner getting the start? maybe pool will still be top at the end of the day after all
bolton 1 - 0 arsenal.
oh, and i think Kuyt started in an onside position.
rafa says it was a mistake, but that its no excuse, and that he doesnt know what else to do when you get 30 chances. fair enough. but heres a hint, drop kuyt.
how many obriens does bolton have?
Two posts, one minute.
/sucks
1-2!
Bendtner!
Toby from The Office + 10 years=Gary Megson.
@ Georger - Bolton seems to have adopted the Lawrie Sanchez strategy of picking up as many O'Briens and Davies as possible.
They've also adopted the other Sanchez strategy of losing to Arsenal.
Arsenal-Bolton is more enjoyable than I imagined it'd be. Bolton is plucky. Arsenal has been playing some wonderful football.
Please get up Clichy.
Ouch.
maybe i should start representing strippers
Atticus Finch is desperately trying to return any items Maycomb residents used to pay for his services.
Seriously, if it wasn't lap dances, but a mechanic fixing a car, would the bar have objected? Oh, and I'm so telling your wife.
funny...she's sitting right next to me.
Ah, newlyweds.
In scores no one care about, Elgin City was beaten by Albion Rovers 6-1 at home in Scotland's Third division. I bring it up beacuse Elgin picked up three red cards today. That's awesome. Also, Elgin's goal was scored while they were three men down.
Other notable/oddball scores:
Bayern Munich 2-5 Werder Bremen
Was 0-5 before Bayern pulled back two in last 20 minutes.
Norwich 1-0 Sheffield U
Norwich scored so late that SkySports live guy didn't even post the goal. He had already given MotM to a Blade
Oh, and this second half blows.
Ramsey on for ten minutes or so. Hope he doesn't spot any spiders out there.
Arsenal's average age on the pitch: 13.4
Denilson from Adebayor. 3-1.
Lovely 3rd goal by Arse.
Was going to link to Arsenal's last score, but 101GreatGoals doesn't show all of Walcott's run. He takes the ball out on the right about 10 yards before the midfield line, outpaces 3 or 4 defenders through the middle, then passes to Ade. Great stuff.
The Walcott run was stunning. Not like the one he had last year in the CL, but still a wonder.
u75: thanks for the info, did not realize Setanta got first rights in the timeslot....and yes, we've all seen enough of the world's best MLS Club, Fulham....
Goat, great call on Megson
Arse fans, great day, eh? Who needs a full complement of midfield players?
