UF Quick Throw: Lula gets cheeky with Obama

Yuk it up, fat boy. You'll be drinking your next cachaça with Allende after this stunt...

Developing nation Brazil refuses to sign on to any real climate control agreement, but that doesn't mean President Lula didn't crash the G8 bearing gifts. The globular Union leader turned populist political hero greeted President Obama today with his country's signature strip... signed by all the members of the Confederations Cup team. Get it? Time to get the CIA into Brasilia. If this isn't grounds for a coup, I don't what is.

Obama reportedly guaranteed the USMNT would never again blow a 2-0 halftime lead to the Brazilians. Well!

Clearly soccer will never make it in 'Murica. Also, it's gay.

@EF: Obama is not a Muslim (his father was raised as one) and is not a communist (again, his father was at some point in his life)

Fox News doesn't let these pathetic "facts" get in the way of the truth.

@Odyssey: I won't ever use sarcasm again.

Wait, was saying you won't use sarcasm sarcasm?

@EF: HA! and I'll stop drinking beer and viewing porn, and Blackburn will win the EPL next year...

Also, apropos of nada: where do most of the Guadalupe players earn their living? Do they just go straight to French lower leagues? Or, more to my point, is MLS missing a possible talent pool to exploit? These guys are not world-beaters, but I can see some of them being more than useful in MLS, based on 2 games so far...

No, Teek, it wasn't sarcasm.

Panama scored on a fugly scramble in the box that took a weird trajectory off of a kick from maybe 3-4 yards out...Ochoa, nor any other keeper, had a chance once the ball fell into the box...

1-1 at 43 minutes

oh, and this is in H-town, where a USA-MEX game was 70%+ Mexico (and I sat in a designated "US" area with that many Mexico fans). I can't imagine what its like for a Panamanian fan right now...

UGH, I type bad. Ochoa had NO* chance...

And NO ONE EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!! or the "DOUBLE RED", either. 10 on 10 in the 2nd half...

I love the 'Spanish Inquisition' joke, jjf3. I actually used it today at the doctor's office; I was given a multitude of questions, but they gave me the Spanish language packet. I returned it, and made the joke. A cute girl laughed; my July was made.

Holy crap, the Jack-in-the-Box "mini-buffalo-ranch-chicken-sandwich" commercial (with the annoyingly addictive song) is mind-bending in Espanol...its kinda like acid on steroids. I strongly recommend avoiding Spanish channels for English-speakers...I actually miss "penny-talk" commercials...

As for the cute girl who laughed, you're doing better than me right now...

Anyways, Mexico is still 1-1 at the half, with a 10-on-10 half ahead of them...
