Anyone want to hear about my Comcast/GolTV saga? No? Too bad...
So for the past year, I have pestered Comcast to add GolTV to the Sports Package (as it is available as part of the Sports Package in every other Comcast market). Weekly emails and monthly calls to anyone and everyone in Customer Service.
Finally, on June 30, I'm flipping through my Program Guide and see GolTV listed right after FSC. Sweet! But then I get the "Not-Authorized" message when I tune to that channel.
I have now spoken to 5 different customer service reps over the last 4 days, and they are all baffled as to why I'm not receiving the channel.
Each time, I just tell them to have it ready by August 15 or so.
The point: Bitching about something for long enough and often enough occasionally gets you what you want...almost.
Nathaniel, for what it's worth, I don't get GolTV on Comcast here in central Virginia. I'm just biding my time until I get DirecTV when my Comcast promotional rate runs out.
