Derby get a kick up the backside at home to Doncaster.
The Championship kicked off this weekend and although Bigus is very busy today, a quick round up is required.
The shock result of the weekend was Derby losing at home to Doncaster. Yes little old Donny Rovers. Jewell will have to turn things around fast, home form is vital in this league, not to mention he has signed 11 new players! Losing 1 nil at home to a team who just came up will not be sitting well with Derby's new owners!
Birmingham got off to a winning start beating a good Sheffield United team at home with a late Kevin Phillips goal. 'Super Kev' has picked up where he left off last season and will score a bundle this year. He popped up late just inside the box and hit a shot on the turn, low, to nab the points.
Business as usual for Cardiff and Charlton. Both won at home. Blackpool lost to Bristol as Gary Johnson's men try to prove that last years appearance in the play-off final was no fluke.
Palace and Watford shared the points as did Plymouth and Wolves AND Forest and Reading.
Sheffield Wednesday were the goal hounds of the day, they stuck 4 past Burnley. Wednesday setting their stall out? Probably not, I can see Burnley getting stuffed often this year. Lets face it they are tat.
My lot lost to Coventry and that was extremely disappointing. The result did not reflect the game. Norwich dominated much of the play and conceded a dubious penalty. Even Sky blues boss Chris Coleman lauded his luck and said that we were the better team and should have had a penno of our own!. We let that little p---k Leon McKenzie put the nail in the coffin late as we surged forward looking for a leveller. On the whole we played some good football and missed a bunch of chances. I will be praying that Lupoli and Cureton find their shooting boots in time for this Saturdays home opener! No it's not baseball but I like that saying and will write what the hell I like! ;)
Norwich losing was made bearable by the fact that Ip..Ip..Ip..Them lost 2-1 at home to Preston..Ha ha ha ha ha. Oh how I laughed! (Preston celebrate below).
Finally the nouveau riche hoops from west Laaandan, Qpr, eeked out a 2-1 win at home to Barnsley and that is your Championship round up for this week!

No idea who this Bigus bloke is, but he's blinded by optimism. Rrrrrangers will dominate this piss-ant league and with Roeder as a manager, Bigus's team has absolutely no chance of achieving anything of note.
Funny that. You Raaaaaangers fans used to love Roeder. In fact he played over 150 games for you. If by domination you mean beating Barnsley at home 2-1 and needing a brace from a centre half..crack on pal.
