The seasons are almost done and the silly season has begun already. But three of the major leagues have as much ending drama as a Judd Apatow movie. Manchester United can wrap up the title with a win against Arsenal or a Liverpool draw or loss. Barcelona can re-claim the Spanish crown with a draw or Real Madrid loss. Inter can wrap up a third straight scudetto with a victory or Milan loss.
If you want real drama you will have to stay away from European peninsulas and islands. The Teuton league has five teams with a mathematical chance at the title. Wolfsburg is in first ahead of Bayern only on goal differential. Two matches remain and this one is a real cliffhanger.
Even the frogs are giving us drama too. With three matches remaining, it is looking like Lyon, the champion for the past seven seasons, will not be raising silverware this season. Lyon has a shot but is seven points adrift of Marseille and Bordeaux. Still no Freddy Adu sighting though, I presume.

Morning y'all.
Come On Arsenal!
Rafa has lost the plot yet again. Saying the $$ is the difference btwn them and United. Cmon Rafa. He constantly wants to wind up Fergie. Sort out your club and worry less about the finances of United. He did this around X-mas time as well while top of the league.
RVP and Fabregas getting admonished to stop picking on little Patty Evra.
Apparently the ref is not going to card anyone in a red shirt today.
That was nice by Fabianaski. He could have easily given up a penalty there.
At least the United fans know what they are losing when Tevez goes.
I don't want to believe that Liverpool's title chances have been placed on the feet of Nicklas Bendtner.
Fabianski took statue lessons from two-months-ago EvdS.
Ade must be in real trouble with Le Boss.
Man U is getting worried. Six minuted left and all they can think of is dropping all three.
A late winner would be brilliant. Come On Arsenal!!
At least it wasn't 4-0 to the home side...
... damn you, Wigan!
This sucks.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Oh well, time to find a Bundesliga match.
Cocks.
damn Mancs.
umlaut, have you found an english feed of any bundesliga games yet?
They are not the most likeable lot, but a deserved Champion. Liverpool made it interesting but as the the famous anthem goes "You'll never win the league" Next yr is geared up to be very competitive. Jokes aside, the Scousers are a couple of players away from making it very interesting. The Goons while detestable are building a nice squad without mountains of debt. A couple of defenders and they will be sorted. Chelsea can buy whoever they want so the same old Top 4 should be much more competitive. The next tier will be fun as well with Spurs, Villa, Everton, and Citeh teasing their supporters with dreams of joining the dance at the Top. I love the Premiership.
Best I could get is Stuttgart-Cottbus. Better or worse than Spurs-Citeh?
Hoffenheim score a goal! It's a miracle!
What I actually got is a channel that switches between the games depending on the action.
No English feeds that I know of.
Whoah, why the zombie looking Avram Grant?
Well, at least not without downloading anything.
It was time for a change, Tee.
yeah, i think i found the same one.
hoff 2-1!!!
Wolfsburg may seal it today?
This has truly been a season to forget.
Nevermind, they need a lot of help to do so.
Wolfsburg again. 3-0 now.
Karlsruhe came to play. Bremen, not so much.
Luca Toni just seems like a huge Douchebag.
boro doing work 1-0 against villa.
At Halftime, the nine Bundesliga games have had 15 goals, with only one game going to the break 0-0. Halfway through the first half, the six EPL games have...one goal.
Excuse me, two goals now.
Hey FSC--screw you for putting the match on delay so that I know a goal is coming a minute plus before you show it "live".
goals scored over the course of the season are comparable except the bundesliga has played 4 less games.
Nice finish by Defoe.
Of course, I'm now watching the only goalless Bundesliga match--Hertha BSC-Schalke 04. I guess I don't really have the ability to complain.
Keane is pants.
Citeh is pants. I can't believe how bad they look. They just give the ball up with stupid passes all the time.
defoe needs to rehydrate after drinking last night with his buxom beauty dujour.
Kamara scores again!! Three in two. Fulham 1 - Newcastle 0
In the default third place game in the SPL, Hearts are winning 2-0 at the half over Dundee United.
Defoe kicked out at the lineman--ha!
we have a lino down!
We have a referee down. I repeat, we have a referee down.
/scottish accent.
Welp, that season was one to forget.
Can't wait for next season, where the entire Arsenal squad will be back, excepting Ade. It's as if Arsene wants us to bicker and complain about selections and transfers by not doing a damn thing. I don't care how good the "Brazilian" or Song WILL be, I want a goddamn trophy.
i can't wait until senderos is back and hear the gooners whine about him again.
Wolfsburg with a fifth. Bayern still drawing.
TFA: Fuck it. I'll say it: I'd rather have had Senderos playing center-back instead of Silvestre over the past month, flaws and all.
ESF Hull fighting! Grab one back just after half. 1-1.
Goodness. Dortmund put 6 past Bielefeld.
How did Hoff miss there?
2-2 final for Hoff. Bayern has almost no shot at the title now.
@EF: Should I bookmark this statement?
Straight red to Bassong
Heh. Bar Codes are really screwed now.
What happened for the red?
Bassong dragged down Kamara, who was last man standing. Easy call.
these games suck.
@umlaut: last man back, he was grappling with Kamara to get to a long clearance/pass, their feet got mixed up, and Kamara went down. It was a little soft, but it was also just a stupid situation to have gotten into...
as soon as i say that...citeh equalizes. final 25 should be interesting.
My Citeh feed is about 3 minutes behind, I think.
liam gallagher kinda looked like steve nash there.
Deuce got dropped in the box (heh). No call.
Heh, Umlaut. I met a Welsh Toon fan last night. I gave him my condolences. I said I was sorry for the potential relegation as well.
Well. That was a nice goal for Bojinov. Glad i waited to switch streams.
And yes, TFA, bookmark that statement. And this one: if Arsene does not bring in a centerback and a holding mid, there will be no silverware next year either.
He has 15 minutes. How many dives will And Johnson take?
pavs is pants.
Hearts salt away third. 3-0.
I forgot how much I love relegation battles. 2008 set the bar so high, it will be hard to top it.
Close for Newcastle. Everton and Stoke have both wrapped up wins.
Toon fans do a great impression of Gunners fans.
New meme: Pained crowd shots.
that was a crap pk call. so soft.
how on earth did the EPL let Citeh and Spurs play in such similar kits? White v. sky blue? Are they mental? I can barely tell the difference from the overhead camera.
He was never getting there.
Between Pool, Arsenal, and Norwich, it hasn't been too successful a season for UF, yeah?
Verification: "blibical." Could be used to describe Newcastle's relegation.
NUFC will never score. Love Schwarzer. He is the best in EPL this year.
Wow, what a save by Schwarzer!
@JT: I'd comment that their style of play should be enough to differentiate the two squads, but then its Spurs and Citeh, so meh.
There's your final. NUFC back in drop zone.
Dempsey = fail.
Toon hasn't shown me any reason why they should be allowed in the Prem next season.
Shearer came into an impossible situation, and has done nothing with it. Its not his fault Toon are going down, but that team has no passion and he hasn't fixed that.
On a shit morning, I would like to tip my hat to the producer at Setanta (or more likely Sky) who saw fit to cut to an interview with Arsene Wenger being conducted in French at the very moment that United were being handed the trophy.
Bravo, sir.
GOnna be a wild finish in Scotland on the last weekend. With St Mirren winning over Falkirk today, they pulled out of last spot. If they had lost, they would have had almost no shot to get out. Now, with one match left, the standings are (one team gets relegated):
9. Hamilton; 38 points; -23 GD
10. St Mirren; 37; -18
11. Inverness CT; 37; -20
12. Falkirk; 35; -16
ICT hosts Falkirk next Saturday, and St Mirren host Hamilton at the same time.
Oops, because of Falkirk and ICT playing each other, Hamilton are safe. St Mirren could go down with a bad loss and a close ICT loss.
I'll be liveblogging MLS tonight at 11pm eastern!
DC United!
Chivas!
Be there!
MLS, where 'Meh...' happens.
Howard Webb. Howard Webb. Howard Webb.
