Italian manager Roberto Donanoni
has been fired. Hot on the heels of (
what one UFer says is) the best run of any non-winning teams in the European championship, Donadoni has been unceremoniously sacked.
I will not be sad for him. Oh no. I, for one, will prefer to remember him in happier, more hirsute, times.

Goodnight, sweet prince. We'll see you on the sidelines at Catania soon.
HAHA!
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE NEXT, RAYMOND!
so, lippi again is it?
ReplyDeleteit's a shame that McClaren just came off the market... so sad, so sad.
ReplyDeletedid he really do that bad of a job? qualified in a tough-ish group. had to deal with world cup hangover. got them thru to q-finals w/o his captain. prob used the tactics best suited to get them a win against spain... i guess even the italians have some decency, and didnt want the world to ever have to witness such miserable footy ever again.
ReplyDeletewell, considering he couldn't score but 3 goals in the tournament, had no offense even when he had all of his first choice offense, and his defense was crappy except when they decided to play 10 behind the ball, i'd say he didn't do that great of a job.
ReplyDeleteWorld Cup hangover? They qualified top of their (weak) group, and it's been 2 fucking years since that tournament!
ReplyDeleteCroatia and Russia both made the QFs, with Russia looking more like a champion with every passing column in the media singing the praises of Arshavin.
