  1. Great start there, Arsenal. It's a good thing I have lots to do today and won't be able to sit in front of the TV for this game.

  2. Screech looks good so far for Everton in the middle of the park. AC Slater is angling for a January transfer.

    ReplyDelete
  3. wow agger. maybe skrtel being hurt is a big deal.

my prediction is holding strong sadly

    ReplyDelete
  4. then you go and do something like this AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!

what a run and pass by agger. great goal. here we go.

    ReplyDelete
  5. dammit zaki! still, we're getting chances. Not worried.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Arsenal look disappointing. They should try playing Route 1, see if that works.

    ReplyDelete
  7. We're playing the longball . . . make it rain.

    ReplyDelete
  8. jesus i wish my predictions would be wrong

cant blame reina on either saves really

cant wait for zaki to be rotting on the chelsea bench next year

    ReplyDelete
  9. glad I started Carlton Cole over Zaki this week in FPL... wait... (Pause) Not.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Woooo! Aberdeen up 1-0 in the 48th on a Lee Miller header. Of course, it's an away match, which means an easy three points for the Dons.

    ReplyDelete
  11. NASRI! WHY NOT?

Walcott opended the right side up.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh my. What the hell is going on with Liverpool?

    ReplyDelete
  13. losing your solid central defender will do that to you

    ReplyDelete
  14. More goals imminent at Anfield... just not sure which end yet

    ReplyDelete
  15. So glad I decided not to make Zaki my captain this week in the official EPL fantasy.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Arsenal now playing some brilliant football. v. Persie manages to muck up a great chance.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Theo looks like a star. How long until he loses this run of confidence?

    ReplyDelete
  18. How is that NOT a penalty? At least van Persie got a kick to Jagielka's face in the process.

    ReplyDelete
  19. RVP taken down in the box; ref declines to give the penalty. Wrong call.

This game is intense. Fight between Clichy and Baines had to be broken up.

    ReplyDelete
  20. LFC keep pressing and Kirkland's keeping Wigan in it... equalizer is coming, I can feel it

    ReplyDelete
  21. Clichy deserved a yellow, but Baines (?) deserved something more. Grabbing a hold of Clichy like that invites a dust up.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Arsenal looks good . . . their play has a certain impatience to it, a certain energy.

    Wish that translated into goals.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Arsenal definitely look a lot better.

Challenge on RvP was surely a penalty, I guess the ref didn't think that he would have got to the ball even if he'd not been impeded... either Howard would have come out or it would have looped past the post.

Hibbert's tackle was dangerous, but not a red card. Think the ref got that right, I think. At this point, just be thankful Cahill's suspended as otherwise a Gooner player might well be dead by this point.

    ReplyDelete
  24. the tackle wasn't a red, but his reaction on Clichy came damn close. Getting his hands up around the Frenchman's neck like that (though mostly holding the shirt) had to come very close.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Clichy's been a revelation down the left. His attacking has opened Everton's back four up. Gunners do not lack for pace.

    ReplyDelete
  26. RVP!!

The pressure was finally too much.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well, at first I was all "Shoot, Ade!", then I was all "Why are you passing?", then I was all "See, that's what you get for playing around with the ball like that, a blocked shot", then I was all "GOOOOOOAAAALLLLL!"

/that is all that I was all

    ReplyDelete
  28. East Fife go up on Peterhead 1-0. I know you all care deeply.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ouch. Sorry Bigus. Bristol City 1-0. Goal by Jamie McCombe.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Red for Valencia. Can Liverpool come back against a 10 man Wigan?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Who the hell is "El Zhar"? where does he come from?

Valencia's two yellows in five minutes doomed Wigan, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It would be nice for Arsenal to get another. Not feeling too comfortable with a slim lead.

But this is three games in a row now where we've started off slow and had to fight our way back into the game.

    ReplyDelete
  33. u75: el-zhar is an academy graduate, pacy young winger, I'd liken him to Walcott but he's light-years behind.

LFC: we don't make it easy, but we get it done. GET IN

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wonderful set up, smart passing, lethal finish by Walcott.

Overall, good possession by Arsenal in the past 15 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  35. jesus. my dad is in town and i had to goto the liquor store with him and missed everything

    ReplyDelete
  36. Liverpool are leading a charmed life right now. I wonder what the net points difference is for them between the 75th and FT?

    ReplyDelete
  37. And Aberdeen hold on for all three points. Thank goodness.

    ReplyDelete
  38. u75: that's how you win trophies (or at least remain in the hunt)... finding ways to win or snatch late draws from improbable situations was a hallmark of Man U last season

    ReplyDelete
  39. I remember. As long as one's team doesn't rely on it every week.

Woo hoo, Aberdeen up into the top 10 (of 12)

    ReplyDelete
  40. we don't rely on it every weekend. We were controlled against Man U, and the Everton win.

I'm gonna have heartburn all week in readiness for the top-of-the-table clash next Sunday (never thought I'd say top-of-the-table clash in regards to LFC)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jesus, three nil-nil scores this weekend? FSC chose the right games.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Does Kuyt score without the ball ricocheting off the keeper, a defender, the posts, or the bar? Fuck sakes, I can't ever remember him scoring a clean goal.

Still, a goal is a goal, and three points is three points.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Andrew: Kuyt's goals are as ugly as he is. It's simple.

    ReplyDelete
  44. liverpool is +12 in points with goals in the last 15 minutes and +10 for goals in the last 10 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That is ridiculous and breathtaking (the good one). Really.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Was anyone else watching FSC after the Arsenal match when the moron Max Bretos said something about Wigan getting a point at Anfield? Uhhh you get points in losses now?

    ReplyDelete
  47. "el-zhar is an academy graduate, pacy young winger"

hes not an academy product, liverpool signed him after his contract with st etienne ran out two years ago. he was 20 at the time and played a reserves game without a contract then was offered one.

hes 22, so hes a biiiiit further along than walcott but markedly less talented. solid sub though.

    ReplyDelete
  48. This Stoke-Tottenham game may have 15 minutes of added time. Spurs need to quit injuring their own players.

To anyone else who happens by-I think Bale's red card was harsh. Yes, he was last man back, but that wasn't a cynical foul. He was going for the ball and missed. Any thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Only 11 minutes of extra time. Oddly, that feels short.
