Weezer front man Rivers Cuomo is a soccer fan and an extremely talented musician. Naturally, he has penned a song for the USMNT and posted in on Youtube.
The song is actually pretty old (hence the mentions of Pat Noonan and Bobby Convey), so I don't think he is predicting an upset for this specific match...but credit for seeing a day like this coming while the likes of Eddie Johnson were still on the team? That took some degree of balls.
I'm sorry, but that is f#cking terrible. Awful. Bad karma is coming if that reaches a mass audience.
ReplyDeleteThat song belongs in a musical about a high school track team made up of disabled kids.
"Extremely talented musician"? Really? Rivers Cuomo?
ReplyDeleteShockingly bad. Couldn't even finish it.
well, he has more talent than me and has put out some pretty good albums with his band. so, yeah, i'd call him extremely talented.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying that this is his best work by any means. Rather, I just find it humorous.
